Credit Card Coverage
If you are 100% sure that your credit card company provides car rental insurance, you are strongly encouraged to DECLINE CDW and SCDW offered by Kennedy Car Rental.
Proof of credit card's coverage is required at the rental counter- “Letter of Coverage” from your Credit Card Company
Before your trip, you MUST:
1. First, check that your credit card does indeed offer this coverage, and understand the details.
2. Ensure all of the countries you're visiting are included. (Ireland and/or Italy are often excluded.)
3. Know the parts of the car (such as windshield or tires) that are excluded
4. Vehicle types that are eligible? (Some coverage doesn't apply to luxury vehicles.)
5. Are theft and loss covered, too?
6. Is there a maximum reimbursement allowed?
7. Is there a limit to the number of rental days covered? (Coverage is often capped after about 30 days; if your rental period exceeds that number, your card won’t cover any of the rental.)
8. Use the same card to book and pay. Remember to use the same card not only to reserve the car, but also to pay for it and any other related fees. Switching cards can invalidate the credit card coverage.
In case of an accident, collect your paperwork. If you get in an accident, Next Car of Montego Bay will charge your credit card for the full value of the damage. It is then up to the customer to seek reimbursement for these charges from your credit-card company when you get home. You'll need to submit the police report and the car-rental company's accident report.RENTAL RESTRICTIONS
