Terms And Conditions
Valid driver's license and form of payment required at time of pick up. All clients must be at least 18 years of age. Clients aged 18 to 20 years old must pay a 19.95 surcharge per rental day. Clients aged 21 to 24 years old must pay a 9.95 surcharge per rental day.Clients benefiting from special rates or rates amounting to less than 10.00 per day, must purchase the insurance offered by us. If the client would like to receive the rental unit with a full tank of fuel, he or she must give advance notice of at least 24 hours. All rental units must be returned with a full fuel tank. If this requirement is not met, the client will be billed a refueling charge. The amount of this charge will depend on the current market. For more information, clients must ask a service representative at the time of rental.The client hereby agrees to pay and/or reimburse to our company, or the appropriate government authorities, all charges due under this Agreement, which may include a reasonable fee that shall not exceed 250.00 to clean the unit if returned substantially less clean than when rented and a flat fee of 250.00 if any cigarette smoke is detected in the rental unit.PaymentWe accept payment by way of cash, debit cards, traveler’s checks, and credit cards. Nonetheless, only bank account-connected credit cards that are recognized by its POS service provider will be accepted. No pre-paid cards are allowed. VISA Check, VISA, Master Card, AMEX and Discover are all accepted.DriversAll clients must be at least 18 years of age. Clients aged 18 to 20 years old must pay a 19.95 surcharge per rental day. Clients aged 21 to 24 years old must pay a 9.95 surcharge per rental day. Payment of an additional charge of 4.95 per rental day will allow the rental unit to be driven by up to two (2) additional drivers. Additional drivers will be subject to payment of the surcharges applied to clients aged 18 to 24 years old.(U.S.A. Residents) We offer U.S.A. residents Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI). The CDW and SLI may be rejected if and when clients provide valid proof of insurance which covers the full value of the rented vehicle, as well as personal liability in the amount required by the car rental company. A client’s insurance card and/or policy declaration page specifying that the corresponding coverage is provided and showing the applicable deductible, constitutes valid proof of client’s insurance and may be provided to our location personally, via fax or e-mail. If a client’s insurance coverage is limited to personal liability, he or she must purchase the CDW. Clients with no liability insurance coverage must purchase the SLI 10/20/10 coverage offered by us in exchange of 9.95 per rental day, as Puerto Rico law holds renters liable for any and all damages caused by the rental unit in their possession. Our company suggests that clients consult their insurance agencies and/or insurance brokers before finalizing travel arrangements. Non-U.S.A. residents must purchase the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) offered by our company.Georgraphic RestrictionsThe rental units cannot be taken off of the main island of Puerto Rico without our company's previous authorization. Moreover, clients must take notice of the fact that the CDW does not provide coverage in neighboring islands such as Vieques and Culebra. Clients that transport rental units to Vieques or Culebra must reserve a two-way ferry ticket for the vehicle. Any client that does not return a rental unit to the main island will be charged a 1,000.00 transportation fee.Shuttle InfoWe offer free pick-up from the Luis Muñoz Marín Airport to hotels in the metro area to all clients. Upon arrival, customers may contact our company by using the courtesy line available at the airport or by calling 787-523-6398. The Airport shuttle is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at our client’s convenience.Prepaid Reservation Terms and Conditions:
Your card will be charged for the total cost of this reservation when you reserve your car.
Prepaid terms and Conditions
- The credit/debit card used to reserve the pay now rate must be in the renter's name and must be provided to NextCar at the time of rental. The name on the credit card must match the driver's name.
- At the time of rental, you MUST produce the same credit card you paid online and valid driver's license in your name.
- Your card will be charged for the total cost of this reservation when you reserve your car. The security deposit for the vehicle will be charged when you pick up the vehicle.
- PREPAID debit cards are not accepted at this location. (NetSpend, Bluebird, AMEX Serve,Chase Liquid, Movo, RushCard, etc) We gladly accept bank issued debit cards.
Physical Damage Coverage is required and must be provided by one of the following:
- Your personal auto policy with collision coverage. Verification required.
- Your credit card's 'Rental Vehicle Coverage'. Verification required.
- Your purchase of the Collision/Physical Damage Waiver.
- We require insurance verification as part of the rental process. Your insurance must be paid in advance for 30 days beyond the pick up date of the vehicle, with a deductible of 500 or less. See our complete rental requirements here for more information.
ADDITIONAL DRIVER POLICY
Payment of an additional charge of $5.95 per rental day will allow the rental unit to be driven by up to two (2) additional drivers. Additional drivers will be subject to payment of the surcharges applied to clients ages 18 to 24 years old.RENTAL COVERAGES
Clients benefiting from special rates or rates amounting to less than $10.00 per day, must purchase the insurance offered by us.
US Residents: We offer Collision Damage Waiver and Supplemental Liability Insurance. The CDW/SLI may be rejected if clients provide valid proof of insurance that covers the full value of the rented vehicle and the vehicle age is 5 years to the current date, as well as personal liability in the amount required by our company. A client’s insurance card and/or policy declaration page specifying that the corresponding coverage is provided and showing the applicable deductible, constitutes valid proof of client’s insurance and may be provided to our location via fax/email. If a client’s insurance coverage is limited to personal liability, he/she must purchase the CDW. Clients with no liability insurance coverage must purchase the SLI coverage offered by us in exchange of $11.95 per rental day, as Puerto Rico law holds renters liable for any and all damages caused by the rental unit in their possession. Our company suggests clients consult their insurance agencies before finalizing travel plans. Non-US residents must purchase CDW/SLI from us. CDW rates: Economy Car through Full-size Car @ $16.95 + TAX / DAY. Mini Vans, SUVs & Trucks @ $19.95 + TAX/ DAY.RENTAL RESTRICTIONS

All underage drivers and contracts must have purchased a CDW insurance from a third party and/or private vehicle insurance that covers a rental vehicle, in Puerto Rico of the same value or more. All contracts with underage drivers must have a security deposit of the total of the rental plus $500.00.
