Rental Requirements and General Qualifications

Take the Sky Connect to the consolidated car rental facility. NextCar is located on level 4 where the train drops off. Make a left as you exit the train, go past Hertz, then make a right, we are behind Sixt and Fox car rental in that hallway.

Additional driver fee is $10.00 per day.

Underage driver (Renters 21 to 24 years of age) $20/ day

Inquire about optional coverages at the counter - CDW is 22.99 - 65.99 per day based on size and value of vehicle rented.
ECONOMY TO COMPSUV: $24.99/Day
INTSUV5 TO MINIVAN: $29.99/Day
Convertible: $49.99/Day
15P VAN: $65.99/Day

Coverage provided by 3rd party carriers may be acceptable if the policy has been prepaid for a minimum of 30 days from the date of the rental and will provide collision and comprehensive insurance benefits to cover the rented vehicle, and Verification required.

Physical Damage Coverage is required and must be provided by one of the following: 1. Your personal auto policy with collision coverage. Verification required. 2. Your credit card's 'Primary Rental Vehicle Coverage'. Verification required. 3. Your purchase of the Physical Damage Waiver. Verification required. 4. We require insurance verification as part of the rental process. Your insurance must be paid in advance for 30 days beyond the pick up date of the vehicle, with a deductible of $1000 or less. Vehicles must be returned to Tampa Int. Airport NextCar location ( NO ONE WAY RENTALS ). Florida residents and Renters 21 to 24 years of age are permitted to rent only Economy through Full-Size Vehicles, Compact and Intermediate SUVs, Mini Vans, Cargo Vans and Cargo Trucks.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. There is a $150.00 deposit over the rental amount taken at time of pick up for fly-in customers using a credit card. $350.00 for fly-in customers using a debit card. There is a $350.00 deposit over the rental amount taken at time of pick up for local customers using a credit card and $500.00 for local customers using a debit card. Prepaid Debit cards and virtual cards are NOT ACCEPTED.

Please note: Prepaid reservations require that the same card be presented at the time of rental as was used to book the prepaid reservation, and the name of the person making the reservation must be the same as the renter of the vehicle. Thank You

Please return vehicle with the same amount of fuel that it left with in order to avoid a refueling surcharge.

Valid US or international driver's license is required at time of pick up. International driver's license must accompany valid country license. Renters must have a proof of their own full coverage insurance if they choose to dicline Nextcar Coverage.
