Welcome to beautiful Ontario, Canada! York Car Rental is our authorized NextCar affiliate in Ontario.  

NextCar offers great service and a large variety of car classes for your every travel need.
We are ideally located close to Pearson International Airport (at Holiday Inn Toronto Airport East Lobby).

Whether you're here for business, or leisure, require a small car or a van to fit a group, we have the vehicle for you!

Shuttle Airport Pick Up

Child seat - $11.99 per day, GPS system - $11.99 per day. All equipments are subject to availability at time of rental check out. Call location to confirm the availability.

AGE Requirements

The minimum age requirement is 23 years. The underage surcharge for the ages of 23 and 24 is $24.99/day. Renters between the ages of 23 and 25 may rent the following vehicle classes: Economy through Full Size cars only. We may not rent luxury and specialty vehicles to younger than 30 years of age.

Additional Drivers

Any additional authorized drivers must meet age and driver’s license requirements. An additional charge of $9.99/day for each additional driver will be added to the cost of the rent.
Toll Pass

We offer toll transponder for $4.99/day which helps customers to avoid Camera and Toll Fee of $5.20/usage. Please note that the customer is still responsible for the toll charges depending on the usage as the toll charges are charged per kilometer travelled.

Fuel

Vehicles must be returned at same level as accepted at the time of pick up to avoid any additional charge. We will refuel and refueling service fee of $4.50/L will apply.
Reservation hold time

On the day of reservation vehicles are held for two hours after reserved arrival time. After the two hours window; you will be considered a no show and we may or may not be able to honor your reservation.

Please contact location directly for any delays. If location is informed of any delay vehicle ay be held as per your request. Reservations may not be altered at the time of rental.

Cancellation or No Show

If you wish to cancel or modify your reservation, you must cancel or modify it through the same web site (source) where the reservation was booked at least 72 hours in advance. If you do not cancel prior to your arrival by 72 hours or you are a no show; you may be charged $50.00 plus applicable taxes

Geographic Restrictions

We do not allow our cars to be taken beyond domestic (Ontario’s) border. In order to take our vehicles out of province, written agency’s authorization must be obtained. Vehicles entering the USA are subject to a border crossing fee of $9.99/day. Vehicles taken out of renting province will be limited to 200kms/day, 1400kms/week and 3000kms/Month (max).

Maintenance in Pandemic

Clean vehicles have always been significantly crucial to us. Now more than ever we know vehicle cleanliness is even more critical. Each Car & Truck rentals is thoroughly cleaned between every rental and backed by our COVID-19 sanitation protocol. This means sanitizing with a disinfectant that is in accordance to FDA STANDARDS, with particular attention to highly touched points.

Booked a Standard SUV with Nextcar or York Car Rental from Jul 3, 2022 - Jul 31, 2022, my itinerary # 72313422875833 and Confirmation NCTVP10164597, however only a compact SUV was given to me and they told me that they don't have any other car. This was disappointed because first I had a few luggage and my family traveling with me and secondly, ne. When I returned the car, I called prior and the Nextcar Rep told me that they close the office from 7:30pm until 7:30am, if I return the car during those hours, I am responsible if something happen to the car and she told me toreturn the car on the eve which was July 30. I asked her for her name and she said it is against company policy which I never heard before. I dropped the car early morning. My bill was USD 1517.80 and I was charged USD 1712.46. Never again and I will never recommend anybody to rent with Nextcar. Completely and utterly absurd.

York Rental did not honor the Nextcar price. They also tooka deposit in USD and then said the deposit was only takenis CAD dollar. Also I was not given MiniVan and was told an equivilant was medium sized SUV that was 7 seater. I was extremely unhappy with the service.

I was charged more than what I had signed up for when I booked it from Orbitz. This is a very deceptive business practice on part of Nextcar when the Orbitz receipt clearlysays that the stated charges include all applicable taxesand fees. The Nextcar agent was very uncooperative. When I called Orbitz, the Nextcar agent was not even willing again book with Nextcar.

Telephone pre recorded messge instructed where to wait for pickup shuttle. After four phone calls and 2 hours later we had to find a second location and got picked up . During the phone conversation they were very unprofessional andmany time the phones were unanswered when I called. . Rental agent Exdedia tried reaching out to them with no luckfered for customer inconvenienc. I will not rent or recommened them .

It doesn’t take my own insurance from the States. I have proof of coverage but the staff said Ontario government wants something else so I had to paid twice as much as I originally planned.

we paid prior to arrival, amount in full, taxes and fees included....we were then charged a further $360 for extras on arrival ......never will we rent from you again...total ripoff. charged $10 a day for providing insurance issued by the government of BC....TOTAL RIP OFF>

Two people working - taking smoke breaks together. I missed first shuttle to the airport. Communication was poor, the guy didn’t even say, “all set” or let me know if there would be any additional charges.

I was not happy that I did not receive the vehicle with a full tank of gas, but only just over half a tank. I filled it myself and it was almost full when I returned it. So I was out probably about $30 on the free fuel I provided to NEXTCAR. First time I ever rented a car that did not havea full tank of gas.

Customer service and interaction was extremely bad. Very forceful with the communication when I was at the locationfor pick up. Very confusing directions with the offsite location at the airport. I would not use your service again and definitely not recommend your company. Staff didnot seem to care about customer service

There were 2 agents working that day. The paperwork was done efficiently. It did take a bit of time but I don't see how it could be done faster. The 2nd agent was patient and we did the walk around inspection, before and after the return. He explained the return policy so I was confident that it would go smoothly, and it did.
