General Rules
You must present your paper voucher upon arrival at the rental office. In case of not presenting the voucher, the car rental agent can charge the corresponding fee. Please note: We are not responsible for additional rental expenses in cases where the voucher has not been presented to the local agency at the time of collection of the vehicle. If you do not present any of the required documents, the documentation is not valid or you do not have enough money in your credit card, the car rental agent can refuse to deliver the vehicle and no amount will be refunded.
If the renter does not appear within 1 hour after the scheduled pick up time, the NC branch has the right to declare the reservation as a No-Show and not provide a car in case the renter shows up later. If the branches the vehicle available after marking the reservation as a no-show, a reinstatement fee of up to $65.00 plus taxes will apply. Any changes in pick up time needs to be notified in writing to our email flhelp@nextcar.com at least 48 hours prior to the reservation in order to ensure availability. If we are notified later than that, availability is not ensured for the rental vehicle or category.
Smoking is not permitted in our vehicles. If you smoke in one of our vehicles you will be charged for additional cleaning up to $250.
 
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
 
Deposit will be blocked on customer's credit card until 10 to 15 business days after the end of the rental period.
The deductible/excess is the maximum amount you'll have to pay in order to repair or replace the rental car if it is damaged or stolen. 
The deductible/excess its of 1,000 USD to all cars only if the customer purchases our vehicle's insurance.
The security deposit is from 500 USD to 2,500 USD to all cars (variable).
Customers who fail to cancel their reservation at least 48 hours prior to pick up time, fail to show up for the reservation or do not qualify for the rental will be subject a one-day rental charge or a $50 admin fee, whichever is higher. All cancellations must be through the original booking source or notified in writing to our email flhelp@nextcar.com.


Renter Qualifications/Additional Drivers
 
Qualifications for renters:
Minimum rental age is 21 years. 
A young driver fee of 14.99 USD plus tax per day applies to drivers under the age of 24. 
Maximum rental age is 74 years. 
A senior driver fee of 9.99 USD plus tax per day applies to drivers aged 70 and above. 
 
REQUIREMENTS TO RENT : The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental. 
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit or debit card on a main driver's name, Passport or ID card.
Florida residents are required to pay $1,000 deposit in order to rent. 
It is allowed to add up to 2 additional drivers. There is a charge from of 8 USD plus tax per day per additional driver.

 
Insurance Policy
There is an additional and mandatory charge from 24.99 USD per day for Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). 
There is an additional and mandatory charge from 15.99 USD per day for Supplemental Liability (SLI). 
We accept insurance from companies: State Farm, Liberty Mutual, Geico, Progressive, Xfinity, USAA, ESurance, Farmers and NationWide. Insurance is required to rent a vehicle, if you will be self-insured you must provide your insurance ID (declaration page) which has to match the name last name and address of the main driver on the reservation. Insurance must include a minimum USD 300,000.00 liability coverage and provide full (supplemental liability and collision) for a rental vehicle. If you will be using your own insurance a deposit to cover your deductible plus damages will be required from your credit card. Insurance from Puerto Rico or Canada is not accepted.

If a customer cannot provide an insurance coverage that meets the above requirements, will be required to purchase it from our company or will be subject to a CLAIM MANAGEMENT FEE from $7.99/day.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) can be declined using your credit card Insurance from Platinum / Black.  Only if the payment of the car rental made at the counter with the same credit card used on the web site. Plus 2,500 USD security deposit for using credit card insurance.  Glass and Tire Cover (GTC) 4.99 per day
 
Supplemental Liability Insurance  (SLI) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If accepted, SLI, provides the renter and authorized drivers with up to $1,000,000 combined single limit for third party liability claims.
 
CDW Insurance means the car rental company waives the right to collect a high deductible from you if the car is damaged, and most importantly it covers most of the car if you are in a collision. It usually costs $30 per day, and significantly reduces the deductibles owed if you do have an accident or there is damage to the vehicle. Essentially, the rental company waivers their right to make you, the renter, pay for damages to the car. If you do have an accident, or the car is stolen, without CDW Insurance you will have to pay for all of the repairs and recovery charges, which can quickly become tens of thousands of dollars. With CDW insurance you only have to pay an excess or deductible, which will be significantly less. 

 
Special Rates
This product/Rate is not available for the residents of the following locations: Florida. 
 
Rate includes:
Free cancellation or modifications with a full refund up to 48 hours before pick-up time. 
Unlimited Mileage -  Internationals Only.
Mileage allowed for locals: 50 miles at day and 2,000 miles per rental, extra mile cost if 0.79 USD plus tax for extra mile, Airport surcharge, Vehicle registration fee, Energy recovery fee, VAT (value added tax). There is a $1,000 deposit required from Florida residents in order to rent.

 
Rate excludes
E-Toll is not mandatory, however, all of the rental cars are equipped with a Sunpass transponder that is glued to the windshield of the car and is not removable. Personal Sunpass device from the customer are no allowed.
We offer three options for E-Tolls:
1. 12.00 USD plus tax per toll. 
2. Unlimited Toll option for 14.99 USD plus tax per day unlimited use.
3. Pay at the end what you consumed plus 25.00 USD plus tax admin fee per toll. 
 
If the customer removes Tolls sticker from the car, an additional penalty of 250 USD plus tax will apply.
 
Payments: At the time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit. 
The following payment methods are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, Diners, Discover. 
Additional insurance (Full Damage Waiver (FDW) must be purchased mandatory if using the following payment method(s): Cash, Debit cards. 
It is necessary to present a valid credit card in the rental office in the name of the main driver to pre-authorize / charge the amount as a deposit. The numbers of the credit card (s) must be highlighted and it may be necessary to enter the PIN code.

 
Debit Card Rules:  Mandatory Debit Fee from $9.99 at day. When a renter, additional renter, or authorized additional driver presents an eligible checking account debit card at the beginning of the rental to qualify to rent, NextCar will perform an insurance verification with the customer’s personal or business auto insurance carrier to verify that the insurance policy has been prepaid for a minimum of 30 days from the date of the rental and will provide collision and comprehensive insurance benefits to cover the rented vehicle. If the customer's auto insurance policy fails to provide collision and comprehensive insurance benefits for the NextCar vehicle, the rental agreement will not be processed unless the customer provides a major credit card with verifiable rental car damage coverage or purchases the optional NextCar Coverage.
 
Refueling Requirements on Return: The vehicle fuel policy its back to back if we provided with a full tank must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges. If the car is returned with a lesser amount of fuel, a refueling charge of USD 7.99/gallon will be charge.
 
Geographic Restrictions: Domestic one-way trips are possible for an extra charge from 48.15 USD to 138.03 USD plus tax, depending on the selected location. 

*Vehicles can only be driven within the state of Florida.
